Shadow Discover Finance this Feb: Cardiff and West Midlands

This February Discover Finance is running in Cardiff and the West Midlands - and our amazing partners who are hosting students are also generously welcoming firms on site who are interested in scaling their social impact through work experience.

 👉 Discover Finance is a social mobility initiative set up to support diverse talent have a better understanding about the range of roles and career pathways available across Financial Services.

 🏢 Built by the sector and for the sector, firms come together to host Y12-13 students.

 💡 Each day students are hosted at a different office and learn about a different part of the sector, enabling them to make more informed decisions about their next steps. 

Discover Finance members recognise that we need to widen and diversify the pool of young talent coming into the sector:

  👀 41% of those in financial services had parents in the same sector.

  📉 Those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds have 25% slower progression than their peers.
