In July 2027, Discover Finance will launch in Liverpool for the first time, creating new opportunities for local young people to gain meaningful insight into careers across the sector.

Ahead of that, we're bringing together employers, educators and sector leaders to explore the shared challenge, at a local level:

How do we create more accessible, meaningful and scalable routes into financial and professional services careers for young people across the Liverpool City Region?

How can our sector work together to provide that at the scale the city needs, but that is low cost and low resource for firms to invest in?

Liverpool is home to a thriving financial and professional services sector, yet many young people remain unaware of the breadth of careers available or lack access to the networks, experiences and insights that can help them take their first steps.

This roundtable will provide an opportunity to:

• Hear from Jane Baker, Schools and Universities Outreach Lead at BDO
• Share perspectives on future talent and social mobility
• Explore how collaboration between employers can increase impact
• Help shape the launch of Discover Finance Liverpool in 2027
