“We’re absolutely thrilled to be partnering with Connectr Early Engagement to launch this programme — together, we’re igniting curiosity, breaking down barriers and giving significantly more young people the skills and opportunities they need to thrive in the tech industry.”

Kathryn Baddeley,
Head of CSR, Cisco UK & Ireland

With 62% of young people not in education, employment or training citing a lack of work experience as a key barrier to securing a job, the need for action is urgent. As AI reshapes entry-level roles and the skills required by businesses, Cisco, in collaboration with Connectr Early Engagement, are launching a sector-wide work experience programme to prepare the next generation for success.

Our Ambition

Over the next four years, we aim to reach 7,000 young people across 4 major UK cities, running programmes twice each year.

This initiative is designed to improve diversity within the sector, close the digital skills gap, and inspire the next generation of tech talent.
