Discover Finance Oct 2026: Help shape the future of finance in Manchester

Discover Finance is coming to Manchester for the first time! This October, financial and professional services employers will come together to give local students a unique behind-the-scenes insight into careers across the sector.

Delivered by Connectr Early Engagement, Discover Finance is a collaborative work experience programme designed to broaden access to careers in financial services. Students rotate between participating employers, gaining first-hand exposure to different organisations, career pathways and workplace environments, all within a single experience.

Already supporting hundreds of young people across the UK, the programme helps students build confidence, expand their networks and better understand the opportunities available to them, while enabling employers to engage future talent and demonstrate their commitment to social mobility.

• Reached 591 students across 12 programmes
• Engaged 203 employee volunteers
• Achieved a 9.2/10 student satisfaction score
• Increased the proportion of students who felt clear about their future career options from 38% to 89% on the most recent programme
