Breakfast Roundtable: Scaling & shaping the impact of Discover Finance

Across Feb-April 2024 we brought together early careers leaders in FS to talk about how the sector can come together to tackle the lack of social mobility within the sector. The output of those conversations was Discover Finance: a rotational work experience, where a group of students got to visit a different local firm each day.

Now, nearly 1 year on from those conversations, Discover Finance has seen its first rotation of students across 2 locations in Oct 2024, and is tee'd up with further rotations in Feb and July 2025 - the skills landscape has also changed in the UK with the new government, especially around apprenticeships.

We've seen big impact from the programme to date and want to scale that impact further: After attending the October Discover Finance rotations, 100% of students in Birmingham and 95% of students in London said that they wanted to work at one of the host firms.
